Hello,
and welcome.
A bit about me…
I’m a 5th generation Santa Cruz resident and I feel deeply connected to this place. I love gardening, people and creative projects.
My first career was in alternative early childhood education. During a decade in this work, I benefitted profoundly from revisiting my own upbringing and learning about developmental stages from inception to the end of life.
I was often in the role of supporting children who needed individual support before joining the group.
As a teacher, I was compelled to learn more about therapeutic play and psychological health — so I applied to graduate school to study clinical psychology.
Since graduating in 2016 I’ve worked less with children, but always within a strong developmental framework for understanding behavioral patterns and the role of the inner child (aka the inner healer).
After gaining experience in harm reduction, including with populations that have experienced immense trauma — and starting a family of my own — I realized a calling to accompany folks experiencing transitions, in liminal space (the in between).
Endings, beginnings, awakenings, changlings…
This works allows me to dig into my own becoming and I couldn’t ask for more.
In my undergrad years I studied consciousness, more recently, non-ordinary states of consciousness. I love symbols (Sandplay / Dreamwork), the frame of the body as the unconscious, somatic work (Brainspotting ™) and playful creative processes.
Since completing the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) Psychedelic Research Program (CPTR), I have been clinically supporting psychedelic preparation and integration, and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
