Journey Work
Transitions, Ketamine & Integration
Journey work is not about psychedelics — it’s about life, birth, death, compassion, transition, grief, growth and becoming….
Psychedelics are just one option. Without them, you are still on a journey.
Lucia Sky called some altered states “pre-psychedelic.” Meditation, somatic awareness work, movement, dreamwork, rhythmic attunement.
All of these are invitations to be changed.
Still.
Journey work has brought humankind incredible access to altered states and expansive connection for longer than we can imagine. Only recently has this form of medicine been exiled — taken out of the context of community, health, ritual and the sacred.
Psychedelic journey work is a gift — it’s an ally in getting present and clear amidst existential anxiety.
Feel safe enough.
Move at the speed
of trust.
Following up with integration is key.
Altered states can be incredibly practical when grounded in safety. A safe container is made of your intentions, nervous system and trust combined with experienced, grounded support.
These are applicable in all forms of therapy and essential for anyone navigating any life transition.
At every phase of life there are stages where integration is often pushed aside.
If you experience:
Limiting beliefs
Chronic overwhelm
Negative relationship patterns
Distrust
Depressed mood, vitality or energy
Knowing what you need but difficulty doing it or making time for yourself
